Cyber culture, pt.2: Wired for Thought, similarities between the internet and the brain

Continuing on with our discussion and moving into the early 00s, we explore some of the theories surrounding the structural similarities between the maturing internet and the human brain.  If the Internet is indeed similar to the human brain, is it capable of the emergent product of said structure: thought?
