Cybercrime Is About to Be the World's Third-Largest Economy: Sasha Krstic on What Business Has to Do Now
from Toronto Talks · host Toronto Region Board of Trade
Cybercrime is on track to be a $16 trillion business by 2030. If it were a country, it would have the third-largest GDP in the world. Sasha Krstic has seen this up close. She's Chair of the Toronto Region Board of Trade. She's also the former President of Mastercard Canada, where she most recently led the company's global push into cybersecurity. Her message to Canadian business: cybersecurity isn't an IT problem anymore. It's a boardroom problem. And here's the good news, according to Sasha. Canada has everything it needs to lead the response. The talent, the institutions, the business community. What it doesn't have, she says, is the will to move from talk to action. In this episode of Toronto Talks, Sasha joins our President and CEO Giles Gherson to lay it all out.
