With the GBC Open Day coming up, there are many charity events going on in the lead up to the big day. Among the events come opportunities to learn new skills, as the Minister for the Environment John Cortes recently found out. He took part in the OTWO cycling challenge this weekend but, having never learned to cycle as a child, it has taken months of preparation to get to this point.Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The Supported Needs and Disability Office (SNDO) are hosting an awareness campaign this afternoon at Casemates, with stalls by disability-related NGOs and pertinent government departments. Jenny Victory, SNDO Office Manager, told us more.The start of the 2024 Gibraltar International Magic Festival is just two days away... bringing together award-winning illusionists, magician and circus acts from the likes of France, Spain and Argentina. The festival has now returned post-Covid, and organiser Jordan Lopez is excited to have it back.Strap yourself in! We caught up with Piers Watson, who recently won the Andalucian Circuit Racing Championship for a 3rd consecutive year! He’s been racing in this championship since 2018. It premiered last Tuesday, and focused on 'great leaps forward' - our representation at the UN in NYC, the frontier opening, same sex marriage and other big moments.
