Alee speaks candidly about where he first got the idea travel by bicycle and his first short tour on the island of Borneo. Despite the challenging conditions he was hooked and before he knew it he was setting off on a 2.5 year tandem journey from Europe to Australia.  But that huge trip was just the start to what has become Alee's lifestyle as a self proclaimed bicycle nomad as his journeys have taken him all around the world, across 6 continents, visiting over 100 countries. Alee's adventures will often lead him down the  most rugged of routes, spending months in any one country at a time, in order to fully appreciate its terrain, people, culture, and wildlife.   Alee is also the face behind Cycling About - one of the  premier online resources when it comes to everything bicycle touring and bikepacking.
