Czech'dis
from The Thinking Drinkers Podcast · host Ben McFarland, Tom Sandham
The reason that Czechs drink more beer per person than any other country in the world is because the country's beers are some of the best in the world - especially if you like lager. Proper lager. In fact, it's a Pivo paradise with a whole host of historic breweries and a thriving craft beer scene. While the beers are easy to drink, some of the names are very difficult to pronounce - as Ben and Tom demonstrate. Beers that feature include: Budweiser Budvar, £1.85 from Tesco Pilsner Urquell, £2 from Asda Bernard and Matuska brews can be bought here The Czech & Slovak Bar can be found here Kout Sumave website is here Uneticky Pivovar is here Next week, we'll be talking and tasting vodka including, amongst others, Reyka from Iceland, Absolut Elyx from Sweden and Zubrowka from Poland.
