D.A.R.Y.L., A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Hollywoodbrained Idiots, and more with Mikey and Sean!

The Dangerous Maybe and No Future join me for a discussion about films, Theory, Marxism, History, and some other stuff too! Spoiler alerts for Steven Spielberg’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence, which came out like twenty-five years ago, D.A.R.Y.L., which came out like forty years ago, Shane, which came out like seventy years ago, and some other films too.This was a fun discussion, we use these films to discuss the notion of the Human and the Machine, and talk about that perennial Human insecurity; what makes me different from the trees and the rocks and the other “machines,” or “assemblages,” all around me?We also talk a bit about History, Politics, and Marxism; we blow off some steam that’s been building up in the wake of someone, who remains unnamed but you can find it in a certain comment section, using Lenin in an absurd elitist way to tell us to shut up and stop being toxic and get back to work; and we just have some fun and shoot the s**t!!!This one was fun!
