The track titles manifest a gentle mockery of organized religion: 'Each title is a way to jeer at things I think are ridiculous about human society,' says David. 'The title of the EP refers to the malicidium, a practice used by the church in the middle ages for justifying the killing of the enemies of the church by accusing them of witchcraft. We really haven't moved beyond that; those in power are able to change the rules, and most of what we think we know is actually fake.' So what inspires these rich, distorted tracks, deliciously garnished with industrial, sci-fi, and raw 'found' sounds 'I love listening to music that inspires me to do something different. I like to make distorted music because of my influences. Lately more people have been producing clear music, but my view of doing music is to make noise and create damage in the brain with powerful bass that you can feel inside yourself when you're in the club. I don't like to follow trends. I do music to make me feel good when I'm dancing.' Carbone's favourite book is The Art of Noise by Luigi Russolo, a futurist musician and poet, born in 1883: 'In my opinion he was the true forerunner of the music I do now.'
