Daddy Issues: Learning God As Our Father

What if the wounds left by your earthly father are affecting the way you see your Heavenly Father? In this episode of Bedtime Talks with Zhan, I share a fresh revelation God has been showing me: despite my growth, healing, and relationship with Christ, I still struggle with daddy issues. As children of God, we often don’t realize how our relationship—or lack of relationship—with our natural fathers can shape the way we trust, receive love from, and relate to our Heavenly Father. In this vulnerable conversation, I open up about the negative fruit that unresolved father wounds have produced in my life and how those struggles have impacted other relationships. While I can only speak from my experience as a daughter, my prayer is that this conversation reaches everyone wrestling with father wounds including men, fathers, sons, and daughters. My hope is that it sparks healing, accountability, and restoration. 2026 is the year we break the cycle of hurt people hurting people.
