Dáil Told Clare Patients "Travelling 50 Miles" For Nursing Home Beds

from Clare FM · host Clare FM

The Dáil's been told Clare patients are being forced to travel up to 50 miles for nursing home beds. It comes as the issue of this county having the longest homecare waiting lists per head of population was raised with the Taoiseach. Since 2024, however, the number of people awaiting homecare supports in the MidWest has fallen by 7%. Bodyke Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney says patients in rural Clare remain seriously affected.
