That is the same picture Jesus uses for Himself, the good shepherd who leads His sheep through paths they cannot trace or explain. He does not always show the way ahead of time. He simply asks you to follow. In Him we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, secured through His finished work even when His hand feels hidden. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper the Good Shepherd comes to us visibly, giving His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins.If your path through impossible water feels unclear, take heart.
