These are hard words, but they teach us something vital: the psalmist does not take revenge. He brings his anger, pain, and cry for justice directly to God and leaves it there. He trusts the Lord to judge rightly. As Christians, we read these words through the cross. Jesus, who fulfilled this psalm, did not call down curses on His crucifiers—He prayed for their forgiveness.
