Where Israel as a vine eventually failed to produce the fruit God intended, Jesus succeeds completely, inviting us to be grafted into Him. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, drawn from His life rather than our own effort. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper the fruit of that true vine is placed into our hands again, His true body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.Consider your own life as a branch attached to that true vine. Jesus has already cleared the ground.
