He cried out asking why He had been forsaken, taking the rejection sinners actually deserved, so that everyone who trusts Him would never hear those words spoken over their own life. Shiloh was abandoned because of sin. Jesus was abandoned so that you would not be. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, secured completely through His finished work. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper His dwelling with us is renewed again, His true body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.God still deals seriously with unrepented sin. But because Jesus bore the full weight of rejection in your place, His dwelling is no longer a tent that can be forsaken.
