You were not selected by God because you outperformed anyone else. You were chosen the same way Judah was chosen, entirely by grace, apart from any merit of your own. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, given rather than earned. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, the true and lasting sanctuary, and in the Lord's Supper that same undeserved love is placed into our hands again, His true body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.Rest in that today. Your standing before God was never earned through your own strength.
