Daily Devotional - Battered and Broken
from Word Encounter with Dr. Abiodun Hosted by Charles Abiodun
The Bible story of seduction in which Amnon sexually assaulted Tamar, his half-sister, is both sad and evil. Tamar fell prey to her brother's lies and deception, and became violated and humiliated. Today's Daily Devotional draws attention to this ungodly and abominable act, highlighting the fact that King David did nothing as their father to punish Amnon for the abominable act. The Devotional concludes by admonishing individuals who have been unjustly treated by the society to turn to God, the defender of the oppressed and the healer of broken hearts. October 29, 2026.
