Daily Devotional - Episode 17: In The World But Not Of It

There are many times we battle with our flesh. We know what we need to do, but we end up falling on our faces anyways and doing the very things we do not want to do. As Paul said in Romans 7:21 "Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"Sometimes I want to do good, and I know I have to, but then the very next thing I do is evil and feel horrible about it. That is why I am glad the Holy Spirit can help me to do good and lead me into prayer to ask for forgiveness. For I am human, and make mistakes too. And the spirit helps us to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. And when I fall, God delivers me, and helps me in the time of my trouble. "God you are so good, and forgiving.
