1 Timothy 4:6 (NLT) – “If you explain these things to the brothers and sisters, Timothy, you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is nourished by the message of faith and the good teaching you have followed.” In today’s Daily Devotion, Pastor Sumrall reminds leaders that true ministry is not just about proclaiming truth, it’s about explaining it. The Apostle Paul urged Timothy not merely to declare what is right but to help believers understand how to live it out. Too often, leaders shout commands like “Be holy!” or “Have faith!” without teaching how to apply those truths. But as Pastor shared, God’s people want to obey, they just need guidance. That’s why effective ministry patiently explains the “how” behind every “what.”   A true servant of Christ doesn’t seek to impress with grand proclamations or quick soundbites. Instead, they feed others with the Word of God, breaking it down so believers can grow strong and live changed lives.
