Luke 18:9 (ESV) - “He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall explains how Jesus spoke directly to specific people to correct specific spiritual attitudes. He points out that Jesus was not afraid to address those who were confident in their own righteousness and looked down on others, showing that focused teaching is sometimes necessary to bring growth and correction in people’s lives.
