2 Kings 18:4 (ESV) - “He removed the high places and broke the pillars and cut down the Asherah. And he broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall explores an important lesson from the reforms of King Hezekiah. What had once been a God-given symbol of faith became an object of worship. The bronze serpent, originally used by God to encourage faith and bring healing, had gradually become something the people honored and revered in place of God Himself.
