2 Corinthians 7:13 (NLT) – “We have been greatly encouraged by this. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was about the way all of you welcomed him and set his mind at ease.”   In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reflects on the Apostle Paul’s relationship with the Church of Corinth, noting that no church in Biblical history disrespected Paul as much as they did. However, when they repented and responded with godly sorrow to his previous correction, Paul was deeply encouraged. He emphasizes that Christian leaders do not live in a bubble and are affected by how they are treated.   Pastor Sumrall explains that showing respect and kindness to assistant pastors, campus pastors, and district leaders (such as Titus) greatly impacts the hearts of senior leadership. When people soften their hearts and show respect instead of acting defensively or with prejudice, leaders are enabled to love and care for them even more deeply.
