Daily Devotions: What We Teach Our Children - April 8, 2025

Luke 16:10–13 (ESV) - “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall teaches four principles of stewardship from the words of Jesus. He explains that faithfulness in small things reveals the true character of a person’s heart, because what someone does in little responsibilities will also be seen in greater ones. Pastor Sumrall also emphasizes that generosity and faithfulness in giving open the door for true spiritual riches, while caring for what belongs to others prepares believers to receive God’s own blessings in their lives. Pastor further highlights the importance of attitude, reminding believers that they must choose who they will truly love and be devoted to—God or money.
