Showcasing Wade's recent jersey trade with fellow NBA stars during his final season, the ad shows 5 last jerseys to trade, with Wade not knowing who he is ultimately trading with. What you then see is the impact Wade has made on 5 people, non of which are fellow players, professional athletes or celebrities. They were regular people who faced tragedy and obstacles. And with the help and support of Wade, these 5 had powerful and emotional stories to share with the All-Star, and a message of love and gratitude. The ad was a slam dunk, reminding us that sports goes far beyond the game, and the players are more than what we see when they are in uniform. This ad should be a reminder that it is not the amount of money that is in our bank accounts that is our greatest legacy.
