My name is Raul Velasquez, and this is your daily edge. Every morning, my morning ritual, I set the intention, I say a prayer, that God will bring me the men that I could help sharpen the edge, the men that I could help in their lives to fulfill their purpose, and also, to take away any man in my life that's in alignment with where I'm going, that will hinder me from focusing on my mission and my vision in life. Because at the end, there's only three types of men. There are the takers, the ones that want to take from you, the ones that only want to take, take, take.
And takers have no limits. So the moment that you're in a leadership position and you surround yourself with takers, you're gonna be drained from your energy. Second are the ones who are followers, people who follow you, but they only follow you out of convenience, as long as you do something for them, and it's convenient for them, they will follow you. Let's see, we only followers, we only need people that will follow us in order for us to convert it from followers to leaders.
Because followers have the potential to be leaders. The takers, most of the time, they're not gonna be able to follow because takers only take and take and take, and eventually, they're gonna be exposed. But followers could be converted into leaders. Leaders are all in.
Leaders don't wait until the convenient time to execute. Leaders are not just looking for the transactional. Leaders are looking for the transformation because leaders understand that it takes a lot of energy to lead. So game recognizes game.
The moment that you're around leaders, it sharpens your edge. But see, you have to make sure that you don't get stuck on the followers because if you only get stuck on followers, you're gonna focus only on what's in it for them. And eventually, they're looking for you to save them. So every single day, we have to ask ourselves, am I surrounded by takers?
Am I surrounded by followers? Or am I surrounded by leaders? And that's the intention with this next level experience with the Edge Brotherhood is to build leaders as leaders. sharpen all the leaders' edge.
As we continue to grow and expand, we are attracting leaders in the organization. Maybe you started as a follower. Maybe you started just as what's convenient for you, but eventually, you're gonna turn into a leader because you're gonna realize that this is bigger than you and me. Being a leader takes time. Being a leader is a process, but you can't come to a program or to a business with the mindset of being a taker. A taker will get exposed. A taker will not last.
A taker will come in and will come out. You start as a follower, following the voice, following your mission, following your vision, but eventually, my intention is for you to lead, to lead other people, to lead other men, to lead other people in your company and your community because that's how we expand the edge. So my intention for you today is to ask yourself, where am I being a taker? Where am I being a follower?
And where am I being a leader? Because all of us at one point were takers, were followers, and were leaders. But we need to continue to feed that leader inside of us every single day to contribute because that's the difference between a follower and a leader. A follower is asking, what's in it for me?
What can you do for me? A taker is only thinking, I'm gonna take this. I wanna try to get as much free shit that I could get. A leader is asking, how can I contribute?
How can I make this better? How can I continue to expand? Because a leader understands at his core that the best is yet to come. Have an amazing day.
