Do not call this mental illness. This is evil, and we have to tell the truth by calling it evil. Let not anyone tell you otherwiseSecond, pray. This is where Binding Prayers come in.Binding Prayers provide:  Protection of yourself and others – Evil spirits can influence or oppress people, especially those vulnerable or unaware. A binding prayer asks God to restrain their activity so harm is prevented.  Right use of authority – Laypeople, parents, and priests have different levels of authority. For example, parents have spiritual authority to pray binding prayers over their children, while priests have wider authority  Restorative peace and clarity – Binding prayers limit distractions, temptations, and disturbances that come from the enemy, allowing us to better focus on prayer, sacraments, and daily duties.  Act through Christ’s power – The prayer isn’t about commanding on one’s own. It is always a petition that Jesus Christ, through His authority, bind the spirits and neutralize their effects.  Spiritual warfare discipline – Father Ripperger stresses that spiritual combat requires prudence and obedience.
