Dallas voters overwhelmingly passed a $1.25 billion bond package Saturday, paving the way for upgrades to city streets, sidewalks, parks, storm drainage, libraries and other buildings and infrastructure over five years; The city’s 15 cultural facilities will receive $75.2 million, or a little over 6%, of the $1.25 billion bond package, which local arts leaders have fiercely advocated for in recent months; the Dallas Stars beat Vegas 2-1 on Sunday to advance to round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs; and the Dallas Mavericks will tip off their second round NBA playoff series with Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
