Dallas Cowboys Announce 2026 Team Captains

The Dallas Cowboys have announced their official team captains for the 2026 season under the guidance of head coach Brian Schottenheimer. In a shift toward a more streamlined leadership structure, the team has reduced the number of captains to four specific players chosen through a locker room vote. The selected leaders include veteran quarterback Dak Prescott, defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark, and kicker Brandon Aubrey. This selection highlights the immediate influence of Williams and Clark, who both joined the roster via major trades and have already secured spots on the leadership council. By moving away from weekly captain rotations, the organization aims to solidify a consistent culture as they pursue a championship. This new approach represents a significant personnel and cultural evolution for the franchise heading into the new year.
