Dan Cohen on Covering Protests and the Pandemic

Dan Cohen decided to do something crazy in this spring: move. This was right as the COVID-19 pandemic was kicking into high gear and not only was he moving to a new city, he was moving to cover the news. That followed six years covering sports in Rockford, IL and that followed a stint as something also quite harrowing - being my roommate my senior year of college. We talk about it all from fun stories in our hilltop apartment to becoming part of a community and the stories learned while doing so to being teargassed while telling the stories of protest.
