Dane County is Hungry for Intercultural Experiences

Whoops! When we invited United Nations Association of Dane County (UNA-USA Dane) to talk about their Culinary Passport Exploration of Iranian Culture and Cuisine event in April we found that all the tickets for it were sold out. So when we heard they were holding another Culinary Passport Event, this time for Cuba, we started a bit earlier, only to find that once again, tickets are sold out. We were still able to talk about the group’s Iranian event in April and the menu and program for their July 19th Cuban experience. UNA-USA Dane is holding An Exploration of Cuban Culture and Cuisine on Wednesday July 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 944 E Gorham. The authentic Cuban meal will be prepared by Cubarican Cocina, currently a catering service and food cart but opening as a restaurant on Cottage Grove road in August. The evening includes a panel of Cuban culture, heritage and history and dance performances by Madison Rueda.
