Daniel is left pale and helpless before a radiant figure with blazing eyes and bronze limbs. The figure matches John's later vision of Jesus, pointing to Christ before His human birth. Christ is the holy and majestic King, yet His death gives His people access to God without being consumed. Dark forces resist God, but Jesus defeated Satan at the cross.
