Daniel's Clock
from Entrenched In The Truth Hosted by Pastor, Kevin Cox
God doesn’t deal in vague prophecy. In Daniel 9, He handed His prophet a timetable so precise it marked the very arrival of the Messiah centuries before He came.In this tenth message of The Ancient Promise, Pastor Kevin Cox walks through the most mathematically precise prophecy in all of Scripture — the seventy weeks decreed for Israel. From the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, to the countdown to Messiah the Prince, to His being “cut off,” to the mysterious gap we’re living in now, to the one final week still ahead. It’s the backbone that holds the days ahead together — and it’s the clock of the one plan of God running from Genesis to Revelation.Text: Daniel 9:24–27Key Verse: “Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city…” — Daniel 9:24 (ESV)In this message:• The prayer of Daniel that moved heaven — and how God answered before he finished• The six things the seventy weeks are decreed to accomplish• The math: 483 years to Messiah the Prince, and the day it landed on• “Messiah shall be cut off” — Isaiah 53 in the language of a clock• The gap we live in now, and why a paused clock is not a broken one
