Dante Dowdell Injury Shakes Georgia Bulldogs | Georgia Bulldogs Football News

Georgia’s 2026 season could be shaken by a major blow: running back Dante Dowdell, a breakout transfer from Kentucky, is sidelined after a critical off-campus accident. Coach Kirby Smart called the situation “tough,” confirming Dowdell’s hospitalization and urging patience as recovery unfolds. With Dowdell’s potential impact now in doubt, the Bulldogs’ backfield depth — already tested by past injuries — faces even greater pressure. The opener against Tennessee State looms, and fans are watching closely to see how Georgia adapts without its rising star.
