With John the Iron Fist and Irene the unbreakable Cage away defending, the remaining Defenders, Chris and Derek, take up the mic to chat all about the penultimate episode of Daredevil The Ones We Leave Behind. This episode was again written by Douglas Petrie and directed by Euros Lyn . Reeling from recent events Karen Page ( Deborah Ann Woll rather than Wolf as we say in the episode sorry!) has difficulty sleeping and turns to the bottle leading to an encounter with Wilson Fisk ( Vincent D’Onofrio ). Meanwhile Vanessa ( Ayelet Zurer ) recovers in hospital from the attack at Fisk’s benefit and Fisk commits to make those responsible pay. The masked vigilante begins his investigation into heroin distribution in Hell’s Kitchen and destroys Madame Gao’s ( Wai Ching Ho ) plot operation only to learn that she has abilities he wasn’t expecting. Ben Urich ( Vondie Curtis-Hall ) begins his exposé of Wilson Fisk but gets fired from The Bulletin. Unfortunately for the reporter a former colleague turns on him revealing his intended story to the unnerved Fisk.
