I'm feeling good about the decision Maggie made regarding watching the last four episodes in two pairs. There's definitely too much happening to fit all 4 into one episode, and even just talking about two episodes was enough to fill a whole hour and change of the podcast. It's a marked difference from how things ran for the first three episodes! Karen's story is way different than I expected, as I'm sure many of you heard when I theorized that she came from money last episode. She's someone that has managed to rise far above what she comes from, and yet the tragedy of her history is littered with bad decisions and desperation. I wasn't ready for how serious this shit gets. On another note, the fight in the church goes really badly wrong and now Karen has other blood on her hands (although, she literally can't go anywhere without risking everyone around her because of that target on her back, so she's excused in my eyes). Dex, meanwhile, is starting to crack under the pressure and it's quite a blow to his cred with Fisk that she manages to get away alive.
