Daring to Draw Near - Jacob and the Wrestler

Passage: Genesis 32:22-32   What happens when you Dare to Draw Near to God?   You will face trial    The Question is what is Gods purpose in our Trials?   Outline Gods Purpose in our Trials:    For us to Focus on Him vs 22-24   For us to Recognize Our Weakness vs 25-26   For us to Confess our Sins vs 27   For us to Change our Character vs 28-29   For us to Become Witnesses vs 30-32    Reflect and Discuss:     What areas in your life would you say you have the hardest time trusting the Lord with? and Why?(i.e. finances, relationships, future, career)     What would it look like if you lost the one thing that is hardest for you to trust the Lord with today (maybe you're going through it right now)?  How would you feel (how are you feeling)? Based off today's message, how could you see your current trial or possible future trial, as a blessing rather than a problem? At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself the hardest question, "Do I want Jesus more, or do i want 'THAT' more?"
