What he finds there raises disturbing questions about what she was investigating... and what may have been investigating her in return. Meanwhile, Kody seeks out the niece of Austin's former priest, hoping she can shed light on the town's history and its increasingly unsettling secrets. Instead, she discovers fragments of a much darker story—one stretching back far beyond Amber's arrival. As old mysteries intertwine with new discoveries, both investigators find more than they bargained for.
