Dark Sayings
from Bible Shorts With BibleBob · host Bob Kuebler
The Bible is full of mysteries. Jesus spoke in parables. In Matthew 13:35 He quoted Psalm 78:2, "This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things [unknown and unattainable] that have been hidden [from mankind] since the foundation of the world." In Psalm 78:2 which was written by the singer/songwriter, poet and prophet, Asaph, he used these words, I will open my mouth in a parable [to instruct using examples]; I will utter dark and puzzling sayings of old [that contain important truth]" The hook that grabbed me was "dark sayings." That sounds to me like something evil and foreboding like a bad message. I did my study and found a whole different meaning of "dark sayings." I found a great study of history and a moral lesson that's invaluable in creating a roadmap for a good life. The video is set in a cliff dwelling where Native Americans lived between A.D. 1,100 to A.D. 1400.
