Darkman 1990

from Citizen Frame · host CitizenFrame Productions

In the early 1990s studios were jumping on the success of Batman. From Dick Tracy to The Phantom and The Shadow. Darkman was one of those films. Sam Raimi and team decided to do a creature feature and superhero combo. With quirky characters and quirky effects and comic book violence, Universal thought they had a new franchise. What went wrong? Join Ciaran and Trevor as they talk about the cult film and if it deserves its current status in the film cult world. Enjoy! #LarryDrake #LiamNeeson #FrancesMcdormand #SamRaimi

Frame by Frame Frame by Frame Here are two English creatives on a journey of sight and sound. This time we're making a run of film reviews. Now, we're not sticking to the rules of talking only about what is popular or hot in the cinema. We have a responsabilty to find all kinds of films, especially those that may be slipping through the gaps, or movies that we loved that nobody seems to remember. So from old to the new, from the bizarre and the downright bad. We're going to sit through all that we can, and on a weekly basis, you can listen to our banter: coming from not only film fanatics, but lovers of the craft. We don't claim to be experts, but we do have a point of view. Mostly, we're doing this because it is fun and I hope you find that is true for you.
