Darkness & Light - Part 1

from Messianic Torah Observant Israel · host Steve Berkson

This teaching begins a new series of teachings on the subject of darkness and light. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible has much to say and teach us about these two things that we humans experience in our physical world. While darkness and light are two separate entities, they are dependent on each other. Scientists have studied darkness and light extensively, not only on this earth, but also beyond into the universe. They have measured the speed of light at 186,000 miles-per-hour. The brightness of light can be calculated in units called lux or to use the precise scientific terminology, illuminance. In this teaching, Rabbi Steve Berkson lays the foundation for the rest of this series in the meanings of darkness and light that goes beyond the physical and into the spiritual aspects of which the scriptures present for our knowledge and understanding, so that the Light will shine in our lives!Don't miss out on new teachings every week. Ani Judaism International (Formerly Lapid Judaism International) Christopher Fredrickson The North American Rebbe for Ani Judaism International discusses topics related to the Torah and the Messiah Yeshua from a Hasidic point of view, Rav Chaim Soloveitchik - Chidushei HaRambam JewishPodcasts.org Rav Chaim Solovetichik was one of the greatest Talmudic commentators of all time. His works are studied in-depth in all yeshivot today and he is widely considered the father of modern Talmudic analysis. The only work he wrote was his chiddushim (insights) on the Rambam's halachic rulings, which is considered a classic of Talmudic analysis. But the complexity of the material and the analysis make it difficult for many to study. These audio presentations of his writings by Rabbi Elisha Friedman are intended to help make his Torah insights more accessible.
