DarlaZ With - Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe

from The Bootleggers Music Group Radio/TV · host The Bootleggers Music Group LLC

Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe, Named as Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world, and by CNN as one of CNN’s heroes, talks to Darla Z about her long-standing efforts to help children victims in Uganda. Sister Rosemary talks about how she interacted with these children, after she realized how traumatized they were. One of the brainwashing tactics of the LRA was to force abducted children to kill fellow villagers, parents and even their own siblings, as a way of creating total obedience so they would join the rebel soldiers on raids of other communities. Young girls were given as “wives” to the rebel leaders. Unfortunately, to this day, these horrific tactics by rebels are still happening, especially in Sudan. There is a way to help and she talks about the US based Sewing Hope foundation which provides help to these victims of horrific abuse.
