Geelong in the late 1980s and early 1990s was a hotbed for musical creativity. Right in the mix was Darren Smallman and Warped, a band he joined as the bass player. International punk rock acts filtered through Victoria's second city, through the rough bars and among the car factories. Darren was 15 when he wrote "Dog Killer", some of his best work. These days he goes by the moniker Dez Dare, based in the UK.
