Data Center Fight In KY

from The Andrew Cooperrider Show · host Andrew Cooperrider

A data center developer is attempting to build in Kentucky and is getting pretty upset that citizens in the community won’t let him rezone the land. However, he’s getting some help from members of the government who are trying to push the data center for the tax revenues.Brian Luftman, founder and president of American Farm Investors, sent a letter to Mercer County Planning & Zoning, throwing a fit that they won’t rezone his property. After hitting a roadblock with the county, he attempted to have the property annexed into the city of Burgin to get around county zoning and planning. The city then tried to hide what it was doing to allow the data center, but it was caught by the public anyway and canceled the meeting. I’ll go through this whole saga, which may not be over. Also, FCPS is in quite the drama with its attempt to oust Liggins, and he is not going quietly.
