MAKROTULPA is laptop-free “techno for insects” inspired by Coil and Dead Voices on Air. It is also the solo improvisational output of Lloyd Barrett from Brisbane, Australia. With 20 years experience in the avant-garde electronic music scene Lloyd lectures in sound design, synthesis and aesthetics and has a Masters of Music in algorithmic composition.
