Data - Data – Data

In this segment, Chris Boyd and Jeff Perry review the past week's financial data including reports on the Consumer Price Index, Core Personal Consumption Expenditures, Producer Price Index, Retail Sales, and Unemployment. Chris and Jeff discuss how the change in the Federal Reserve language (based on the above-mentioned financial data) has led to a rally in stocks and bonds this week. Jeff wonders if the Santa Clause Rally has come a little early this year. Jeff also points out that stock traders often miss such market rallies by being out of the market at the wrong time. Chris concludes the episode by considering what impacts the likely decreasing interest rate environment will have on 2024 returns in the bond and stock markets.
