Hey babblers! You may know her as the confident queen of dating on babbles with besties season 1, but today my friend Kiara is going to be opening up, getting a little bit vulnerable and sharing another side of herself. After being diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 16 and experiencing a number of significant flare ups that resulted in hospitalisation, Kiara had to reconsider how she goes about living her everyday life. In this episode we chat about the difficulties Kiara has experienced trying to communicate the implications of an 'invisible illness' when to others she "doesn't look sick". It wouldn't be a babbles with besties episode without Kiara sharing her dating stories, but this time Crohn's edition. She also shares the difficulties of navigating friendships when you have an 'invisible illness' and the catalyst that forced her to reevaluate her friendships.
