Dave Bautista Officially Set as Kratos in ‘God of War’ TV Series

Actor Dave Bautista has been officially cast as the lead character Kratos in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video live-action adaptation of the God of War video game series. He replaces Ryan Hurst, who was forced to exit the production following a serious on-set injury that required surgery. The show will focus on the Norse mythology era of the games, following the protagonist and his son, Atreus, on a journey to honor his late wife. Production is scheduled to restart shortly in Vancouver, with the studio planning to film two seasons back-to-back under showrunner Ronald D. Moore. Because of the casting change, all previous footage featuring the original actor will be completely reshot. This episode includes AI-generated content.
