Dave says when you were in the 80s you thought it was a dull time, but it was the decade his band formed and looking back he witnessed an outburst of creativity in Sydney. On album number three, the Hoodoo Gurus had a song and sound that would tell everyone they were going from strength to strength. But in reality their success was, as Dave describes, just papering over the band's gathering issues. In March 2022 they’re releasing a new album, Chariot of the Gods, along with a 40th anniversary Australian tour.
