Steven and Dave start off this episode talking about how the NW Coffee Beer Invitational came into being and the fun story about it came to be hosted each year at the Goose Hollow Inn home of the "Best Reuben on the Planet." Dave and Steven talk about a few of the 2017 NW Coffee Beer Invitational breweries and the special beers they are brewing specially for NW Coffee Beer Invitational including Portland Cider Co., Zoiglhaus Brewing Company, Georgetown Brewing, Stormbreaker Brewing, Great Notion Brewing, and Gigantic Brewing Company. This year the NW Coffee Beer Invitational is featuring breweries from SW Oregon including - 7 Devils Brewing Co, Chetco Brewing Company, and Yachats Brewing. Dave fills us in on the beer judging that is new this year at the NW Coffee Beer Invitational and his three judges - Fred Bowman, who many years ago helped co-found Portland Brewing Company , Jess Caudhill – Imperial Organic Yeast, and Whitney Burnside - Brewmaster at 10 Barrel Brewing, Portland.
