Next up on the ABCA Podcast is former Central Michigan head coach, Athletic Director and ABCA Executive Director Dave Keilitz. Keilitz spent 14 seasons as the Chippewas' head coach from 1971-1984. He led Central Michigan to six NCAA Regionals before spending 10 years as CMU Athletic Director. He was also chair of the NCAA Baseball Committee. From 1994-2014 he was the ABCA Executive Director, overseeing saw some of the most important legislation that was put in place for college baseball as well as significant growth of the organization. He is a Central Michigan and ABCA hall of Famer and was recently inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame. We got a chance to sit down with Keilitz in the Marriott Hotel in Omaha during the ABCA Board of Directors meetings at the College World Series. Dave is a 52 year continuous member of the ABCA and a shining example of having success as you transition from one step to another in your career. He gives great advice on leading a life of impact and tips on how to be successful as a coach, administrator and executive. This is also a great history lesson on the College game and the ABCA.
