David: Anointed For Messiah & The Scarlet Thread of Redemption | September 6, 2026

In week ten of The Case for Biblical Literacy series, Pastor Kevin Cain delivers one of the most sweeping and awe-inspiring messages of the entire series — tracing the scarlet thread of redemptionthrough Scripture from Genesis 49 to Revelation 22, under the themes of Scepter, Oil, House, Stump, and Throne. Drawing from Jacob's blessing over Judah, the Davidic Covenant in 2 Samuel 7, the prophecies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, and Gabriel's announcement to Mary in Luke 1; Pastor Kevin reveals that the same prophecy spoken over David by Nathan the prophet was spoken word-for-word over a teenage Mary more than a thousand years later — because Jesus is not a nationalistic king. He is the eternal King of Kings and Lord of Lords who fulfills every promise God ever made. With stunning stops along the way at Tamar, Rahab, and Ruth — three women in Jesus' genealogy whose stories remind us that God uses the broken, the outsider, and the outcast to bring redemption to all peoples on earth — this sermon makes an irresistible case that the Bible is not 3,000 disconnected stories, but one unbreakable story of God building His house through us. The message closes with a piercing communion call: "The scepter has found its king, the oil has found its Messiah, the throne isn't empty — who sits on the throne of your heart?"   For more information, visit our website: www.kingdomemc.com.   #Messiah #KingOfKings #LordOfLords #WordOfGod #BibleStudy #Prophecy #GreatCommission #AllPeoplesOnEarth #KingdomChurch #BodyOfChrist #Christian #Jesus #Faith #Church #Bible #Gospel #Sermon #SundaySermon #ChurchOnline #Christianity
