David Arrowsmith: writing Killing Maradona, the joys and the tragedies of El Diego's life and career, and Narcoball football in Colombia.

We were joined by football writer David Arrowsmith to talk about his latest book, Killing Maradona. We discussed the highs and lows of El Diego, from his early beginnings in Buenos Aires to god-like status in Napoli, before his downfall around USA 1994. His finest moments, some of the mythology, his legacy - we covered it here, just like David has in his latest book. Plus, we also began the episode chatting about his previous book, Narcoball - a deep dive into Pablo Escobar and the other cartels' influence on Colombian football.
